How do I extend a filesystem?

Hi,

I am new to AIX but have experience on HP-UX.

Under AIX I have an existing filesystem e.g /currone which has hit 100% usage. I have no space available on the current vg. However I have some space available on a new vg. I want to re-create the filesytem /currone with a larger size on the new vg.

In HP-UX I can:
1) create a new filesystem called /newone.
2) Copy everything fr /currone to /newone.
3) umount currone
4) vi fstab and remove the /currone entry
5) replace the line that has /newone entry with /currone
6) mount currone

and the /currone filesystem size is enlarged.

How do I do this in AIX? What parameters needs to be changed?

Thanks to anyone who is willing to offer me some assistance!
