How to get job id of print job send to print server?
============
Example:
I want to send a file to a print server:
"lp -d PrinterA_prn File1"
the shell would return a notification:
"request id is PrinterA_prn-xx (1 file)" ; xx = job id.
Now let say I want to cancel that job:
"cancel PrinterA_prn-xx" ; xx = job id.
===========
What I want is to be able to do all this steps in a script. First send the job, then get the job id, and finally use the job id to cancel the job.
Can anyone help? Or is there another way to cancel job send to print server?
Thanks.
